Give Me Your Best Shot – Holiday Recap

Thursday, January 7, 2010 by Lolli 14 Comments

Since this is my carnival, I can make up my own rules every once in a while, right?

I have been itching to share a few more of the pictures from our Christmas trip to Florida. I’ve posted a few here and there, but there were so many more that I wanted to share. And I wanted to do it before it was too far from the holiday. So bear with me. This is more than one or two pictures AND they were not taken this week. Typically I pick one or two of my favorite shots.

My kids and their Nana on the evening we arrived in Florida

Necco didn’t let the fact that she forgot her swimming suit slow her down.

The kids loved spending so much time with Daddy

Dad and son on Florida beach

That’s AJ taking a sunset run along the beach

The fact that both Dog and Boy are staring off in different directions cracks me up. And the fact that my boy is wearing a dog hat….

There was a Star Wars marathon running the entire week. Since we don’t have TV, there was a lot of this going on:

watching tv at the beach hosue

Necco conquered her fear of dogs. This week, she is Dog Sitting. Those who know her will be impressed by that huge step!

We ate this fantastic HoneyBaked Ham all week

Reese collected lots of shells….until she collected a big handful that I had to let her know were still alive. She didn’t bring me any after that…

My brother in law brought his kite for kite surfing. It was the big spectacle on the beach that day.

Quite cool to watch, but I wouldn’t want to be out there. :)

I am so excited to have you on board as a faculty member! I was quiet
last night because I was afraid if I started talking much I'd fall
into a coughing fit! I will come link up to FTT for sure!

It was fun “meeting” you last night on the call, although I feel like I kind of know you already thru your blog and the portal. btw – I've just figured out how to add a Mr. Linky thing to “Fishful Thinking Thursdays”. I'd love for you to link up when you can! :)

Beautiful photos. We brought a live seashell all the way home from St Croix one year. It even survived the freezing temperatures in the cargo hold in our luggage. We put the shells in the sink to rinse them and the next morning one of them was walking around. It lived fro a couple of years – a cute little hermit crab!

Oh my goodness Lolli! I LOVE your trip! I love the dog in the outfit! And your parents. And the hand with the shell. Stop it right this second. What a gorgeous image. I LOVE that kite. Most of all I love the love that you share with your family! Isn't that a beautiful thing? This made my night. I am sorry I didn't post holiday pictures and broke your rule. It is Kaishon's Birthday on Saturday though and I wanted him to get some shine : ) Will you forgive me? : )
