I Heart Faces – Texture

Monday, January 25, 2010 by Lolli 12 Comments

I’ve got to admit (and this won’t come as a surprise to those of you who know me): I rarely if ever use texture in my edited photos.

Textures kinda scare me. I love looking at photos that have had texture added to them, but I rarely add them myself.

So I almost didn’t add a picture to this week’s I heart faces challenge.

And then I started looking through the entries and felt inspired. So I tried my hand at some texture.

I heart faces texture

And you know what? I loved how it turned out! I love the natural textures and colors of the rocks and the wooden fence and the leaf….and how they all wash together in a rainbow of colors with the added texture.

See the original picture of AJ and the big leaf on Redgage (a photo and blog sharing website that earns me money! Cool beans!).

And now, go see what other people have been texturizing on I heart faces!

PS–tomorrow morning I’ll have a MckLinky up for our Bloggography challenge on ISO! Hope to see you there!

Great job with the texture! It adds a lot of visual appeal and you’re right about how the texture adds to the other natural elements in the shot!
