The Karate Tournament #WW

Tuesday, April 1, 2014 by Lolli 6 Comments

This weekend, my two youngest kids and I spent the morning at my 11-year-old’s very first karate tournament. She has been taking karate since the Fall, and recently got her yellow belt (the third rank in her school). Although she was nervous about competing in a tournament, we were all very confident that she’d do great. And she did! She competed in 2 events and brought home two trophies – a 2nd place in forms and a 3rd place in JuJitsu. It was an exciting day!!

Whoo hoo! Congrats on the trophies! I’ve always wanted to try out Karate. I recently discovered Aikido. Definitely another one I want to get into. Looks like a ton of fun :)

Very cool! She looks so happy. I love martial arts. I truly think it helps children develop discipline and patience.
