Looking for more holiday recipes? You’ll love these Salted Maple Cashew Haystacks or this NEW sweet and salty Cinnamon Pecan Crunch cheese log.
Years ago (maybe 15 years?), my good friend brought a cheese log to a holiday party we both attended and I fell in love. I asked her for the recipe later that week and I’ve been making it every holiday since.
Last month, as I was walking my youngest son to school one morning, we were talking about the upcoming holidays. Forget turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, or pies. His question was, “Will you be making cheese log?”
I’ve been making it for so many years now that I’ve adopted it fully as my own. It is an important part of our family’s holiday traditions as the Christmas tree or the Thanksgiving turkey.
And it wouldn’t be possible without Kraft cheeses.
This cheese log is perfect for holiday entertaining, not only because it’s so tasty but because it’s so simple to make. Just place it on a small platter with a cheese knife and surrounded by your favorite crackers and you’re set! Enjoy one of my favorite holiday recipes!
Our Favorite Holiday Cheese Log

- 1 jar Kraft Old English Cheese
- 1/2 cup Kraft shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp dried, minced onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dry chives
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- Set cheeses out until they are room temperature and then mix everything in a large bowl. Separate onto two large pieces of foil and shape into log or ball. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for several hours.
- Serve with crackers.
See how easy that is?
