Love and Marriage (and Gnats) – PSF Linky

Thursday, June 2, 2011 by Lolli 11 Comments

It’s wedding and engagement season again. Unfortunately, it’s also gnat season.

I met this fun couple at a local garden yesterday morning to take a few engagement shots. We had to postpone their photo shoot a few times last month because of rain, so when we had a dry morning for pictures, we were thrilled. I checked the weather forecast the night before and was excited at the prospect of temperatures under 80 degrees in the morning. It has been a hot week.

When I arrived at the gardens, my car’s thermostat was already reading 89. The gnats swarmed around our heads everywhere we went, except for the two gazebos. I got two gnats in my eyes and one down my throat. The couple was wonderful but the conditions were rather uncomfortable.

And yet….love prevailed. You’d never know that we were miserable and hot and being attacked by vicious gnats. They are in love.

Oh, we’ve been hitting 100 too. I was just hoping for under 90 for a morning shoot. Luckily, yesterday and today have brought some Spring-like relief! 82 feels a-MAY-zing!
