New Finds, Great Values at #Safeway

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Safeway, Inc. for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a mom of five, I do a lot of grocery shopping. There are certain items that never leave my shopping list: milk, eggs, bread, yogurt, orange juice. (I’m guessing your perpetual shopping list might look very similar). I was joking with my 11 year old daughter this morning as I made her lunch for school that the food I buy keeps disappearing. I teased her that everyone just needed to stop eating so much!

Of course, I buy food so we can eat. Reese reminded me that it’s worse when I buy things that end up getting wasted or thrown out. Truth. The trick to making the most of my shopping trips and the money that I happily spend to feed myself and my family is buying things that I know the family will love and planning our meals out and sticking with a list so that fresh foods don’t go bad before I get around to using them.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s had to toss a veggie or two because it has been shoved to the back of the fridge and forgotten about.

Safeway has long been one of my favorite places to shop. There was a Safeway down the street from my house when I was a teen and I would often walk down the hill to buy myself a snack or pick up an ingredient or two for my mom. When we moved to our current home, Safeway was the closest grocery store, and it just felt natural to shop there. It felt like home.

Now that my kids are older (and I don’t have to drag restless toddlers around in a shopping cart), shopping is a much-appreciated break from work. I tend to walk down every aisle to check out the items that are new and on sale.

The past few times I went to Safeway (which, honestly, is often!) I spied a few new products that I thought were worth mentioning. From breakfast in the morning to getting ready for the day to my lunch hour…Safeway has a great selection of NEW products! Here are a few that I picked up:

Yulu “Aussie-Style” Yogurt:  It took me a while to get used to the “new” styles of yogurt, but now I’m totally hooked on adding varieties to my almost-daily yogurt consumption. Yulu yogurt is exceptionally smooth and creamy, not too sweet (which makes me happy) and loaded with protein (which makes me even happier).

Degree™ Dry Spray Deodorant: I’ve never been a picky deodorant user, as long as the scent is decent. So I probably wouldn’t have tried any of the new dry sprays on my own accord. I am so glad I did! Now that I’m going to the gym more often, I really appreciate a good, hard-working deodorant, and the dry spray I used lasts SO long, I always feel fresh (even on the days when I skip the gym and my shower…Yes, it happens).

Naked® Juice Bright Beets: I have been a super fan of Naked juices for a long time. I will often grab one while I’m shopping for an energy boost. Have you tried beet juice? It’s definitely worth a try! The Naked® Mighty Mango and Green Machine are really great too.

Check out all of the new products at Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, CARRS, Tom Thumb or Randalls stores. What new items are you excited about? Next time you’re at Safeway or any of their family of stores, be sure to look for the “new” tag to discover new items at great values!
