The plan was to blog about the gingerbread house that my kids put together the other day. It was the shortest-lasting gingerbread house in history. Not only did the kids decorate it with frosting and candies, but they sprinkled it with Oreo crumbs (dirty snow?) and ate it immediately. They saved me the hassle of having to find a place to store it and then finally breaking it to them that we’d have to toss their creation. It was perfect.
However, when I searched for the pictures this afternoon, they were nowhere to be found. Apparently, I deleted them from my memory card before transferring them to the computer.
So I get to show off some newborn pictures.
You won’t complain, will you?
As precious as newborns are, they tend to be difficult to photograph. And those cute, sleeping babies? Ha! I seem to get all of the super-alert ones. That’s fine. They’re still adorable.
Just wiggly.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love for you to grab a button and link up with this week’s Photostory Friday/ Give Me Your Best Shot meme. Let’s see what you’ve been up to this week!

I feel ya on the alert wiggly newborns! The last 2 I did were that way too!
You photos are beautiful!
So precious.
I agree, they are difficult to shoot! But adorable. I have never had one that will sleep through a shoot! What a precious little one!
I love the shot of the baby in the bucket. So adorable!
how sweet! oh my – some of these pics are making my ovaries hurt!
So cute! That’s not your niece, is it? She’s a lot bigger than that by now, I’m thinking. Those pictures make me even more ready for my own babe to make an appearance. :)
SOOOOO sweet.
I haven’t gotten over my fear of photographing (shooting seems REALLY weird to say in this case) babies. I did a shoot last weekend and I was shaking in my boots!
So precious!
Awww!!! Beautiful newborn shots! I love how the pic of the baby feet on the edge of the can….SO perfect. And love the first shot a lot too.
Now THAT will bring a smile to your face on a Friday morning!
Adorable! These shots are Great!
Aww! Thanks! It’s especially fun to do newborn shoots when I’ve recently taken the mama’s maternity pics.
Are you kidding? I would love to! It might just take me a little while to drive to your house. :)
I guess I should be glad it doesn’t happen more often than that. And I should be especially grateful that I didn’t delete the pictures form that newborn shoot.
I’m glad I’m not the only one! :)
Of course, if I had posted pictures of the gingerbread house my cute kids would have been in the shots. ;)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw – nuthin’ sweeter!
Thank you!! I took a lot of pictures of her feet. She was stretching her legs out towards the camera the entire time!
That’s exactly how I feel. I love babies, but I am not up to another of my own.
So cute!
Are you going to take pictures of my baby girl when she comes in March? You do such a great job!
Man, I hate when I do things like that. That really stinks! I am so sorry that those memories are gone with the gingerbread house. :-( But those babies pics are so stinkin’ cute! Nice save. ;-)
my newborns that I shoot NEVER sleep for me, either!
I’d rather look at newborn picture than gingerbread any day. These are precious!! :)
Gasp! I’m in love with the feet one. So unbelievably precious!!
There is nothing like a newborn baby. It was my absolute favorite age. I do miss it… but not enough to have another.
