Newborn photography

Thursday, December 9, 2010 by Lolli 26 Comments

The plan was to blog about the gingerbread house that my kids put together the other day. It was the shortest-lasting gingerbread house in history. Not only did the kids decorate it with frosting and candies, but they sprinkled it with Oreo crumbs (dirty snow?) and ate it immediately. They saved me the hassle of having to find a place to store it and then finally breaking it to them that we’d have to toss their creation. It was perfect.

However, when I searched for the pictures this afternoon, they were nowhere to be found. Apparently, I deleted them from my memory card before transferring them to the computer.

So I get to show off some newborn pictures.

You won’t complain, will you?

As precious as newborns are, they tend to be difficult to photograph. And those cute, sleeping babies? Ha! I seem to get all of the super-alert ones. That’s fine. They’re still adorable.

Just wiggly.

So cute! That’s not your niece, is it? She’s a lot bigger than that by now, I’m thinking. Those pictures make me even more ready for my own babe to make an appearance. :)

    SOOOOO sweet.

I haven’t gotten over my fear of photographing (shooting seems REALLY weird to say in this case) babies. I did a shoot last weekend and I was shaking in my boots!

I guess I should be glad it doesn’t happen more often than that. And I should be especially grateful that I didn’t delete the pictures form that newborn shoot.
