Necco performed at the Elementary school’s annual talent show tonight. She did fabulous singing Just Wave Hello by Charlotte Church. We were all shocked when she said she’d like to sing at the talent show this year–all by herself! What courage! She was a little timid when she got up onto the stage tonight, but as soon as she saw the crowd’s response, she broke out into a huge grin and sang a little louder. You should have heard her at home, though! She has been belting this song in our kitchen for weeks now as she’s been getting ready for tonight. She knew the song inside and out. Way to go, Necco!
The reward: ice cream. Yum! The sign behind her says “Our Knights are full of Stars” If you’ve ever been to an elementary school talent show, though, you’ll know that it was a long, hot night….an hour and a half of sitting in a stuffy cafeteria listening to and watching kids perform dances, skits, hula hooping, karate, poetry, piano, singing….Luckily they’re only once a year! Oh, but we love them!
