THE NUTCRACKER – The Washington Ballet {Family 4-Pack Tickets}

Thursday, December 4, 2014 by Lolli 4 Comments

The Nutcracker ballet is a classic. A holiday must. I am excited to have a family 4-pack of tickets to see the Nutcracker performed by the Washington Ballet at the Warner Theater this holiday season. I’ve been offered 2 tickets to take my daughter to see the Nutcracker as well, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

My first experience with the Nutcracker was back in the 1980s when I was a young ballerina. While it has been a few years since I’ve danced in the Nutcracker myself, the music still has a nostalgic effect on me. I can’t wait to see it on stage again (from the audience instead of from the stage) and see my daughter experience it live for the first time. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holidays.

Are you in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area? You can experience the Nutcracker this holiday, too. Tickets start at just $32, and the show runs December 4 – 28, 2014 at The Warner Theatre.

The Washington Ballet’s THE NUTCRACKER

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his highly-acclaimed production, Septime Webre is planning some special surprises for his celebrated all-American Nutcracker. Set in 1882 Georgetown, this gorgeous production showcases the grandeur of The Washington Ballet’s international roster of dancers and majesty of Tchaikovsky’s music. Replete with swirling snowflakes, cherry blossoms and historical characters, including George Washington as the heroic nutcracker, TWB’s The Nutcracker has become a tradition for generations of family and friends to celebrate the holidays.

Choreography: Septime Webre
Music: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

You can find out all about the performance and get tickets HERE.

Win a Family 4-Pack of tickets to the Nutcracker

I’m giving away a FAMILY FOUR PACK for The Washington Ballet’s production of THE NUTCRACKER at the Warner Theatre. The best news? You can choose any evening performance Wednesday through Sunday, December 4 – 18.

To enter to win 4 tickets to your choice of performances, leave a comment below letting me know who you would take with you to the show. If you would like extra entries, you can share the post on any of your social networks and leave me a link to your share. Or…let your local friends know about the giveaway and have them leave a comment mentioning who referred them. This giveaway will end at midnight on 12/8/14, after which a winner will be chosen at random and notified via email. Good luck!

    My children believe that nutcrackers are little people that break nuts in their mouths; they have no other association with the term! I would heartily love to bring them to the ballet to educate them about the art and beauty associated with the ballet the Nutcracker.

    I would take my 3 kids as we have not seen a live performance of the Nutcracker for a few years.
