Picture Me In Branson

Tuesday, May 11, 2010 by Lolli 5 Comments

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

With all of the guest posts popping up around here this week, I bet you thought I was on vacation, didn’t you? I wish I could say that I was cruising around the ocean or relaxing at a calming resort all week, but the truth is, I am still busy at work at home. But even if I can’t be on vacation this week, I can picture myself there. Imagine with me.

I have always had a soft spot for small towns. I will take quaint and unique over big city any day. Branson, Missouri, sounds like the perfect spot for me to escape the craziness that ensues at the end of the school year, with more field trips, concerts, meetings at school, awards ceremonies, and such than any other time of year. Branson, located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in Southwest Missouri, is home to about 7500 people, but pulls in over 7 million tourists a year. What are all of those tourists doing in Branson, you ask?

Well, they might be kicking back at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel pool for a swim…..I can picture myself there now. Ahhhh.

(yes, I know I’m not quite dressed for a swim, but it IS still the beginning of May!)

I can also picture myself touring the Marvel Cave at Silver Dollar City, a local Branson amusement park. I’ve always wanted to tour caves!

I can totally picture myself relaxing in one of the Whirlpool tubs at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. Nothing says relaxation quite like a private dip in a hot tub….with a sweater on.

After warming up in the Whirlpool, I think I’d like to stroll around the Payne Stewart Golf Club, which is managed by Hilton (is this landscape gorgeous, or what?)

And then back to the Hilton Branson Convention Center for a night-time water show, followed by a show or two in one of Branson’s 49 music/live entertainment theaters. Believe it or not, Branson is home to more than 12,000 MORE seats than on Broadway in New York. That’s a lot of shows going on.

In addition to all of that, there’s tons of shopping, beautiful lakes, museums, theme parks, restaurants, and shows to keep me entertained.

I’m starting to picture an extension to my little trip to Missouri. I need it!
