Piggy Paint Giveaway!

Tuesday, August 25, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

**Contest Closed** The winner is Lisa. Congrats, Lisa, and Thanks everyone!

It’s day two of the last week of summer (for my kids) and we’re ready for the second giveaway!

What is it about little girls and painted nails? I suppose the childhood love of painted nails never goes away, does it? I still love it.

Reese, my 6 year old, asked me yesterday if she could paint her nails. Nail painting is a great bonding activity for mom and daughter, but I have to admit–I hate the smell of nail polish and remover that lingers in my bathroom for hours after my kids have painted their nails. Thank goodness I was prepared yesterday with the perfect solution for little girls nails:

Piggy Paint is a natural nail polish designed for fancy little (& Big) girls, and was recently founded by Melanie Hurley, a stay at home mom of two little girls. Here’s her story:

One day while we were painting nails over a foam plate, my daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate. Shortly after, the paint began to bubble and “ate” through the plate. I looked in dismay at the hole in the plate and decided to test all of her other “kid” polishes on the foam. Within minutes, ALL of the solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually left big holes in the plate. From that day on, I decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for my children’s fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouths. My quest was on, and Piggy Paint™ was born. As you may have guessed, our polish is NOT flammable and sits beautifully on the unaffected foam.

Both their polishes and remover are non-toxic and odorless, yet wear the same as traditional polishes. The polish went on smooth, and it didn’t stink up the bathroom at all. Even the nail polish remover was odorless. That’s always a good thing. :) I can’t always say the same for my family members…

Piggy Paint has offered all of my readers a 15% discount to their store. Simply use the code BULK15L before September 15, 2009 for the discount. PS–Spend over $25 and domestic shipping is FREE! They ship worldwide, too.

**They have also offered to give one lucky winner a $20 gift code to spend in the Piggy Paint store! To enter to win some Piggy Paint, visit their site and tell me what you would spend the gift code on. What’s your favorite Piggy Paint color? We have Girls Rule! and love it.**

To gain extra entries, you can do any of the following things (just remember to come back to leave me a separate comment for each one)

*Follow Piggy Paint on Twitter for secret sales and special offers! Follow me, too if you don’t already and tweet about the contest.

*Order anything from Piggy Paint during the giveaway and get an extra entry.

*Subscribe to my blog, follow me, or add me to your blog roll–whichever method you prefer (I just want you to come back!)

(This giveaway will end on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11:00 pm Eastern Time. The winner will be emailed and announced on this post. Good luck! Disclaimer: I was given a sample of Piggy Paint polish and remover to do this review, but the opinions are mine)
