Pop on Pals – Discover the Popabilities!

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Considering the fact that I have five kids, I’m sure you can imagine how many toys have come in and out of our house in recent years. A lot. My kids have played with and tested scores of toys. They’ve loved and then passed them on, or declared that no matter how old they got they could never get rid of such-and-such a beloved toy.

Recently, we received a playset to review from Team Mom and Spin Master. Pop on Pals is the newest creative idea from the company that has brought my kids favorites such as Bakugan and Moon Sand. The kids were overjoyed when they found out that the enormous box that came in the mail was for them.

About Pop on Pals:

  1. Pop on Pals (ages 2-4) is a world of fun pals, vehicles, and playsets with endless mix and match “popabilities.”
  2. With Pop on Pals, kids can be anything they want to be. Just press down on the pa and pop on mix and match rings: a fireman becomes a musician, a princess turns into a baker, a puppy becomes a ballerina!
  3. Pop on Pals encourage imaginative play and help little ones develop fine motor skills. Pals are perfectly sized for small hands (and the pieces are big enough to be safe for little mouths).
  4. There are several Pop on Pals playsets and packs, including pets, vehicles, an airplane, school bus, etc.
  5. The Pop on Pals Amusment Park comes to life with lights, sound, music, and more.
  6. Pop on Pals are available at Toys ‘R Us, Target, Amazon, KMart, Sears, and more.

As much as they loved the Pop On Pals Amusement Park playset, I have to admit that it was a little under my family’s level. The target age range for this pay set is 2-4 years, and my kids are out of that stage. One keen observation from KitKat, who–at 13 1/2–still got down on the ground to play with the new Pop on Pals, was that she wished that the set came with more little people. I had to agree. The entire amusement park only came with one character. The sets are easily expandable (you can purchase people with their interchangeable outfits separately) but it’s always been my opinion that toys should be made to be easily shared. Two kids could not easily (without fighting) play together with the Amusement Park the way it was.

Disclosure: I received a Pop on Pals playset (value $34.99) from Team Mom for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own.
