Project 365 +1 {Week 2}

Friday, January 13, 2012 by Lolli Leave a Comment

So far, so good. I am loving capturing a snapshot of each day with my phone, and I’m still totally excited about making it through the whole year without missing a day. Think I’ll make it?

This week was not overly exciting, but this is what life is really like in my house:

Saturday – We made homemade donuts for a late breakfast. It’s a horrible indulgence, but they sure do taste good.

Sunday – my favorite shoes (I actually loved them so much I bought them in black and navy blue, too…). Finally shoes that take care of my aching feet while still allowing me a little style.

Monday – I got a package of Dove Dark Chocolate in the mail. Oh my. There was so much chocolate in the basket that I still have some left over. Incredible, huh?

Tuesday – rain! I loved the water droplets on the trees and grasses on the walk to school in the morning so much that I brought my camera outside for some macro shots of the water. Wouldn’t you know that my favorite shot came from my phone?!

Wednesday – it started getting cold toward midweek, so we pulled out the kerosene heater. Oh, how wonderful it feels!

Thursday – I was discussing my collection of cookbooks with KitKat this week. I have too many of them. My cookbook cabinet became so over-crowded that I finally put a few of the newer, cleaner ones out in the open. Out of the 30 or so cookbooks I have, I regularly use 4 of them…And yet I keep collecting them.

Friday – in my last post I mentioned that AJ went exploring outside (alone) in the dark on Thursday night. The next morning, when he was getting ready to head out the door to go to school, he asked where his red coat was. When I said I didn’t know, a light bulb went off in his head. He ran outside and came back with his coat, frozen solid and as stiff as a cardboard coat. He asked if we could put it in the oven for a while to warm it up….

I gave him his other coat. The clean, dry one.

And that’s my week in pictures. Feel free to leave a link to your project 365 post if you’re dong one, too!
