Our first full day in Boston, Massachusetts, was not the most ideal, weather-wise. Between the rain, the chilly temperatures that threw us off (shorts and t-shirts aren’t rainy-and-65-degree friendly) and a few hours of car maintenance, we didn’t get much sight seeing done.
But what we did do together was so much fun, even if it was a rainy day in Boston.
We enjoyed watching some Coast Guard training on an old sailing ship, the Eagle (“America’s Tall Ship”). The kids were enthralled.

Sometimes ya just have to go with it lol, if its not that bad we would just continue on what we wanted to do. If it gets kinda yucky we can usually find something inside to keep us busy like movies, or the museums, and there are malls everywhere.

We never allow the weather to deter us from our plans while on vacation. Taking a vacation isn’t something we do every year. In fact, the last “official” vacation we had was in 2004. The expense and distant of our trip fueled our excitement to get out to see the sights. We would love to see Boston (1997) again for an in-depth visit.
Fabulous family vacation captured for future rainy day strolls down memory lane!

Ah, that ship is just beautiful! We visited Boston years ago and experienced the same type of weather – looks like you all were still able to have fun though!
