It’s Shark Week Frenzy at Cold Stone Creamery

Monday, August 4, 2014 by Lolli 1 Comment

This post brought to you by Cold Stone Creamery. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that Discovery Channel™ Shark Week begins this Sunday, August 10 at 9:00 ET? To celebrate the upcoming Shark Week, the Discovery Channel™ has partnered once again with Cold Stone Creamery® to bring some fun shark-inspired treats that ice cream AND shark fans alike will love!

Did you know that all Cold Stone Creamery® ice cream is made fresh daily in the store, and has been for the last 25 years? Cold Stone uses high quality ingredients and they mix toppings in to their delicious ice creams right in front of you on their frozen granite station! You can choose your own just-for-you-perfect combination of ice cream and toppings or you can choose from one of their recommended ice cream creations.

This weekend, I took my kids, my sister's kids and my parents to a nearby Cold Stone…and we had a blast! Several of us got the Shark Week Frenzy ice cream special: Blue Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Graham Cracker Pie Crust and Gummy Sharks. Yum!

My sister recommended her favorite combination: oatmeal cookie dough ice cream with caramel mixed in. I had a bite and was in heaven!

And for a treat to enjoy at home, after we were done with our ice cream creations, I got some Shark Week Frenzy Great Blue Cupcakes. Listen to this…"A rich Chocolate Cup filled with a layer of Yellow Cake and Blue Sweet Cream Ice Cream topped with fluffy Blue Frosting and a Gummy Shark." I bet your mouth is watering right about now!

Because we made our stop at Cold Stone Creamery® in the later evening, they were all out of Great Blue Cupcakes for the day (I'm sure the families that showed up before we did couldn't resist the blue frosting and gummy shark-topped cupcakes) so I asked the manager when I could come back to try some. She was awesome and made some for us right then!

Since we were filled up on our ice cream treats already, we brought the cupcakes home and enjoyed them the next day. My favorite part of the cupcakes was the chocolate cup (the kids loved the fact that the cupcake cup was edible!).

Shark Week Frenzy treats are available at your local Cold Stone Creamery® now through August 17 – but if you want to guarantee that there will be Great Blue Cupcakes available when you get there, you can always order Great Blue Cupcakes Online at ColdStoneCakes.com and they'll be made to order!

My daughter loves watching shark shows on Discovery channel but we no longer have cable, which she isn’t happy about. We took a trip to Cold Stone recently and my son got the shark week special ice cream and he loved it. The cupcakes look mouthwatering delicious.
