Summer, Week 1 #PSF Give Me Your Best Shot

Thursday, June 20, 2013 by Lolli 3 Comments

It’s hard to believe the kids have only been out of school for 6 days. The summer is already kicking my butt. Apparently, my summer is going to consist of a whole lot of driving kids back and forth mixed with hours at the pool, interspersed with plenty of moments of sibling arguments and cries of “I’m bored!”

And apparently, I forgot to pull out my camera this week. Here’s a peek at my week 1 of summer vacation as seen on Instagram. I’ll be heading to Pennsylvania three times in the next week, as well as accompanying AJ at cub scout day camp, so next week is sure to be extra interesting, I promise.

The kids had the pool to themselves when they insisted on going during a rain storm (don't worry--no lightning!)

This past week was huge for me. I sewed FOUR bonnets. From start to finish. And I didn't kill anyone in the process.

PS – more on the bonnets next week!

What have you been up to this week?

Summer is sometimes more crazy than school time! We’ve been out since the 24th of May and it’s been crazy here too. A round trip of over 2000 miles in the suburban with my crew started it off and next week a 2 week horse showing trip to Canada!
Do you have a trek that your kids will be attending? We trekked last summer and it was awesome!

I feel the SAME way about summer. I love it and I love that the kids get to do so much fun stuff, but goodness I’m overwhelmed at all the back and forth I’m doing. My summer butt is already kicked.

P.S. There is NO way I could make bonnets. When trek rolls around for Gracie, she’s on her own…or she’ll need to call Grandma. :)

We’ve been out for a month…and boredom is setting in. :)
