Tackle It Tuesday–The Card List

Tuesday, February 17, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Good morning, friends! It’s time for another addition of Tackle It Tuesday! This particular tackle has been on my to-do list since Christmas time….and I finally made time for it! The sad thing is–it wasn’t hard or time-consuming at all.

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Here was my problem:

I still had my basket of Christmas cards sitting out from December, waiting for me to sort through. I don’t know why that basket seemed so scary. I’ve been avoiding it for a month and a half now, knowing that I needed to take care of it soon (or at least before next December). I never updated my address list last season, so this year I had a handful of cards returned because of incorrect addresses.

I sat down with my stack of cards, checked the return addresses against the addresses on my list, corrected if necessary, and wrote down the date that the address was last verified. Now, next year, I’ll know who sent me a card as well as (hopefully) have a correct address to use.

I took care of it in a single night. Now why was I so scared of it?

Now, if I could only figure out what to do with these:

My stack of un-used family pictures. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that Christmas cards were a challenge this year. I almost didn’t send them at all, but compromised by sending out a smaller number. It was a good decision, but it left me with about 145 photos. Hmmm….anybody want one?
