The View From My Front Door

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 by Lolli 18 Comments

Despite my whining about being tired of Winter in my previous post, I do admit that newly fallen snow is pretty to look at. These shots were taken from my front door (in a shirt, sweat pants, and stocking-ed feet).

I really enjoyed the snow this morning from the window too. But I think this snow is going to be a drop in the hat compared to what we’re supposed to get this weekend! Yikes!

Today’s was the perfect kind of snowstorm, unless you’re a kid and were looking forward to a snow day. It was enough to cover everything and look beautiful, but warm enough that roads were clear really quickly.

And it is quickly turning to mush today, with temps in the low 40s. :(

It’s nice to find the beauty in this awful winter! Nothing better than freshly fallen snow before it turns to mush.

Yep–my thoughts exactly! I love looking at it (when it’s fresh, at least). Luckily, today it’s melting fast.

Let’s just say that I picked the best view….If I had been turned the other way, I would have gotten a less-than great picture of our parking lot. I live in a townhouse, so that “beautiful front yard” is actually common area. :)

So not only great shots but your yard is awesome! It was fun to be at #gno last night even if I wasn’t there for very long!! Cool WW post
