Thoughtful Boy, Silly Boy – GMYBS

Thoughtful by the window

Yellow Balloon Boy

I don’t have much to say about my favorite pictures of my favorite boys this week. I enjoyed using my new/replacement 50mm lens, and caught AJ watching for the big kids to come home from school, as well as Twizzler blowing up a big yellow balloon. It’s been a busy week. The best part of my week was the moment tonight, after getting the kids ready for bed….and after AJ finally stopped crying after we told him that he could NOT have a cupcake after brushing his teeth…when AJ got cute with me.

AJ gently grabbed two handfuls of my hair, one clump by my right ear, and one by my left ear, and used my hair as reins to guide my face where he wanted it to go. He pulled my hair down so that he could kiss my forehead. He pulled on the right side to kiss my right cheek, and forward to kiss my nose. Then he wiggled my hair back and forth to rub noses with me.

It was the sweetest thing ever.

I guess he forgave me for not letting him have the cupcake. (I can almost guarantee, though, that he will be asking for a cupcake for breakfast. The kid forgets NOTHING.)

Now it’s your turn. What did you do this week? For those of you who haven’t played along before, GMYBS is not a contest, and it’s for any level of photographer. It’s simply a fun way to show off the favorite picture (or favorites) that you’ve taken this week.  Read to find out more about Give Me Your Best Shot….And come back to leave the link to your best shot below (please link to your actual Give Me Your Best Shot post). And grab my button below and link to me so that we can get more people to stop by!

(NOTE: The code doesn’t always work when it’s grabbed from WordPress. I have tried a bunch of times and I can’t figure out an easy fix. If it doesn’t work to copy and paste, you can always just include a link back here. Thanks!)

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! ;)

How adorable are those pictures? You are a stronger woman than me – I would have totally caved and given him that cupcake. Glad he got one this morning.:) My 2-year old is slowly learning how to do these cute little moves too. There’s just nothing better than an unasked-for kiss from your child.

Cute pictures. I really wanted to join up today and totally spaced of course that might have something to do with the fact that I was up all day yesterday and worked all night last night slept only a few hours today and am going back to work for another 12 hours tonight. Why do I do this to myself?? Oh well oh and to top it all off my 2 year old is throwing up. Ah the joys of motherhood. (sorry about the novel) I guess I just wanted to chat…..

My toddler did a similar thing this week when she grabbed my cheeks and said “Momma, I love you so so much” My heart completely melted. And 30 seconds later she threw a book at me.
I didn’t play along this week because I pulled a picture from two years ago, but I still wanted to see what you had. I love it!

Kids can be sweet when they want to be, can’t they? :-) My son was supposed to be in bed last night, but he came up to me instead and said, “Mama? I loves you..”

I still sent him to bed, but I told him I loved him too.

Love both shots, but those freckles! Wow!
