Type-A Parent Conference – What YOU Need To Know

Thursday, March 29, 2012 by Lolli 13 Comments

I have been to several blogging conferences over the last few years, but there is only ONE conference that I make a point of attending each year:

Why you should join me at Type-A Conference:

  • First of all, you will get to hang out with me. If that doesn’t convince you, read on…
  •

  • I have never been to a conference where I learned SO MUCH. The sessions topics are relevant, the teachers brilliant. And conference attendees actually attend the classes.
  •

  • #Typeacon has some of the best out-of-session discussions and networking I’ve seen. Ever.
  •

  • Welcoming crowd, friendly bloggers. I don’t know what it is, but I swear that Type-A gathers the most friendly bloggers in the blogosphere. Even the conference’s organizer, Kelby Carr, is on the floor and interacting with attendees all day.
  •

  • North Carolina is a beautiful place to visit.
  •

  • Simplicity. There are fun events and parties each night and during the day, but there is not so much on the schedule that I have to skip events that I really want to attend.
  •

  • Type-A is extremely child and family friendly. I loved seeing bloggers’ kids and husbands come down to breakfast every morning (although I am leaving my family at home…). The families did a lot to create a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.
  •

  • Price. It’s affordable. Plus, if you buy your ticket before Saturday, April 1 at 11:55 p.m. PST,  you can get a $50 early bird discount (in other words, HURRY).

Just a few of my closest friends at Type A Parent Conference 2011

FYI – Type-A Parent Conference – celebrating it’s 4th year – will be held Thursday, June 22 through Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ll be there again, handing out badges and goody bags.

See my Type-A Conference 2011 recap and take a peek at the photo walk I went on last year (one of my highlights!). But the best part of all? Making a complete fool of myself with my friends and loving every second of it.

Note: if you happen to buy a ticket and use my link, then I will get a small commission. Let me know you’re coming and I’ll buy you some ice cream in North Carolina.

This conference sounds so good. Just what a gal needs. Unfortunately I’m all the way up in Australia (or down!), so it’s too far for me. However, please, please, please post an update on how it goes. Enjoy!

I will be at Type-A this year. I’m very excited yet nervous since I am somewhat introverted in person as well. I’m looking forward to going there and perhaps I will run into you. :D

Look at all my friends in that picture! Great post. I highly agree with this bullet: “North Carolina is a beautiful place to visit.”

Isn’t it fun?? I love that Type-A is something I can look forward to right after school gets out. It’s like my own little summer vacation with my best friends.

I know!! Last year, I saw you there, but didn’t really know you yet. This year? Watch out! When I see you, I’m running full speed for a hug. :)

Yes, it is ABSOLUTELY worthy of the hype and the travel. :) You will love it, AND I will love meeting YOU!

Oh, I am totally an introvert, but somehow conferences (and especially Type-A which makes me feel so comfortable) bring out the exciting side of me. :)

I am so excited about going to Type A this year! It will be my first multi-day conference (I hit up BBC Atlanta this past October). Reading posts like this get me really excited but also put me at ease as I am a bit of an introvert :)

I am beyond excited! This will be my first Type-A and from your description, worthy of our cross-country trek and investment! I can’t wait to meet you, all of you, in person.
