I love a good, hearty salad, especially as the weather turns warmer and the quality of my produce goes up. I often order a loaded salad at a restaurant as a main dish, and I regularly serve salads for dinner at home. They are usually quick to make, require little or no heating up of the kitchen, and use fresh, better-for-me ingredients. Enjoy this sponsored collection of main course salads (as always, thoughts and opinions are my own!).
Salads that fill AND impress!
These salads can stand on their own–no taking a back seat to a casserole or getting labeled as a side dish here!
Check out the collection of 25 (or more!) main dish salad recipes that I gathered on Foodie.com:

Bless you! My husband insists on having meat with every meal – and that’s OK, everyone has different tastes – but I sometimes really crave a big main course salad – this will work for both of us.
