I don’t remember learning how to read, but I remember reading. My mom read to me daily. She read books like Where the Red Fern Grows and A Wrinkle in Time. We read them over and over. And then I found my own books and devoured them on my own.

I haven’t stopped reading. I only wish that I had more time to do it.
Reading takes me away. It’s when I have a book in my hands that I truly relax.
And I need more of that lately.
I just finished Bel Canto for the second time this weekend, and now I’m starting The Throne of Fire so I can do a little mother-son bonding with my 10 year old Rick Riordan fan.
I love books.
What are some of your favorite books?

I read a book every week. Seriously. Obviously I also don’t sleep. We’re total Rick Riordan fans too by the way!
I’m stopping by from the SheSpeaks blogger society. I’m following you by GFC, twitter and facebook.

Persuasian, Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karinina, The Hunger Games, The Help…..and more.
Thank you for the recommendation!! My 10 year old eats up books. When he finds one (or a series) that he likes, he reads it over and over. He’s gone thru the Percy Jackson series 5 or 6 times. :)
We have a 10-year old Riordan fan in house, too! :) We just finished Brian Selznick’s “Invention of Hugo Cabret” and ADORED it…are picking up the next, “Wonderstruck.”
Have a GREAT Thanksgiving, Lolli!
