Best of 2009

Sunday, December 20, 2009 by Lolli 4 Comments

2009 brought a lot of change to my blog. Not only did I switch my blog’s name from Life is Sweet to Better in Bulk, but at the end of the year, I moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress. I developed strong friendships with fellow bloggers, made a trip to New York with one of them, and traveled to Las Vegas to meet a few others. Then I won a trip to BlogHer 2010 to hang out with even more great bloggers.

Here are a few of my favorite posts from 2009. Since I didn’t get to bring any of my past comments over from Blogger with me here to WordPress, these older posts are feeling very lonely. Go read and leave me a comment or two! Consider it my Christmas present.

January: Wow! My photo is on Pioneer Woman’s site!! (exciting stuff for a small blogger like myself)

February: Tackling the Rocks (recognizing what’s really important)

March: Optimistic (and Fishful) Thinking (my first experience with the Fishful Thinking program. It’s amazing to me that I’ve been involved with them for almost a year and am now a faculty member)

April: What’s in YOUR fruit punch? (I had to laugh when I came across this post again. I was heavily drugged at the time…)

May: Sounds From my Childhood (a Writer’s Workshop exploring the disturbing sounds outside my bedroom window)

June: Living the High Life as a Pirate’s Mother (a funny conversation in which I discovered the ambitions of my 4 year old son)

July: Not Me. The Printer. (sad, just sad.)

August: I Left With a Bang (how my studly husband rescued me on the way to the airport)

September: Dear Acapulcan Bus Driver (memories from my Study Abroad in Mexico)

October: Beginnings (Happy birthday to me – let’s talk about my birth story!)

November: Thanks. And Giving. (a Thanksgiving post and Fishful Thinking activity)

December: Introducing Bloggography! And, Why You Should Ask Santa For A DSLR Camera (an introduction to a new feature on Better in Bulk)

I’ve been here before, but it’s been awhile. I like the look. I’m still a fan of Blogger, but I definitely understand some of the reasons for switching to WordPress. Hope you’re liking it!

Wow– I didn’t realize you totally switched names this year! Your current one is perfect.

And, no idea about the scheduling. Sigh. WordPress is far from perfect, eh?

Have an AWESOME week away!!!! Merry Christmas to you & yours. :)
