My car is not the picture of organization. In fact, it usually takes me weeks of dealing with messes, trash, and loose junk that really should be taken back into the house before I break down and clean it.
The biggest problem is that I don’t have anywhere to keep (and organize) the things that need to stay in the car….until recently, at least.
I went out to my car yesterday and snapped a picture of the mess in the trunk.
The first step, of course, was to get rid of the the chair and the tent, which had obviously been sitting in my trunk for a little too long.
The second step was to take the two black garbage bags full of old stuff to the donation center. Honestly, I had totally forgotten that they were there.
The third step? Ugh. Trash collecting. I put the kids to work on that one. While they cleaned up wrappers and papers, I pulled out my new Cargo tote and set about organizing the things that actually belonged in the car.
My next step is to vacuum the van out….but I didn’t want to push my luck too much in one day. Here’s how much the trunk was improved:
Here’s what made the transformation possible:
Cargo Tote
- Expands to three compartments
- Three pockets on front for smaller items
- Velcro base
- Fits into shopping cart
- Side handles for easy carrying
The real gem in the package, though, was the coupon organizer next to the cargo tote. It is hands-down the best coupon organizer I have ever used (just ask my sister who got the whole “coupon organizer tour” when we went out to dinner together recently). It’s light and fits comfortably in my purse and yet it holds and organizes a ton of coupons (which I am trying really hard to use more of currently).
E-Z Coupon Holder
- Wallet sized coupon organizer
- Holds 150+ coupons
- 12 label dividers
- Velcro closure
- Inside pockets hold shopper reward cards
- Measures 9” wide x 4” tall x 1” thick
Wondering where you can get the cargo tote and coupon organizer? You can find them on OpenSky (one of my favorite bloggers, Laura Wittmann from OrgJunkie.com found and recommended it).
It helped a lot and I can’t wait to take my car out for a drive tomorrow.
Yes, I will be going to the bank and the grocery store. That’s how I roll…
Disclosure: I was sent a Cargo Tote and Coupon Organizer from OpenSky to review but the thoughts and opinions about them are my own.
