Day 7 — Hard at play

Saturday, November 8, 2008 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Yesterday we went with our friends, Safire and kids, to the Resource Center. We moms held babies while the 3 year olds played hard. Apple was thrilled with the pink playdough (it was the most popular center of the day) and he made 18 dye-drop Fall leaves out of coffee filters and food coloring. I am planning on decorating the house with them. :)

Safire’s twins, Pirate and Professor, were so intent on this pop-up toy. If there is something about babies, then there is something extra special about watching twins together.

This afternoon, after the kids got home from school, we headed over to Safire’s house to take her family pictures. (I’ll be sharing some of the pictures soon, once Safire and family have seen them!) While we were waiting for everyone to get ready, Taco climbed on the monkey bars. Oh! The joys of being a child!!

I, on the other hand, made a trip to Peanut Butter’s studio today to learn how to make screen shots of his language software for his website. I’m excited to do some work that is actually kinda fun for me–I love photoshop. It won’t be long before I can share the new site with everyone!

One more thing: Kiwi declared at dinner tonight that she would rather be called KitKat on the blog. I can handle that (especially if it makes my pre-teen happy). She said, “Reese gets to be a yummy candy. I want to be candy, too!” SO……since I’m just starting this new name thing, and since we’re all not too used to Kiwi, I am changing her name from this post on. I told her I refused to go back and change her name on previous posts. She was ok with that. Haha! If only it were always that easy to compromise with a 7th grader!
