Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Fishful Thinking has a great activity (Favorite Photo Valentines) for you to do with your kids! Here’s what my kids did this week:
How to make Favorite Photo Valentines
- I let the kids look through some photos and asked them to pick a picture that made them happy.
- Next, we cut BIG hearts out of colorful paper for Valentines.
- The kids then taped or glued or stapled their pictures onto their Valentines.
- Each child then wrote why that picture made them happy.
- And then they decided who they were going to give their favorite photo Valentine to.
Reese decided to give her Valentine to her friend from school. I warned her that her friend might think it was strange to receive a picture of Reese’s dad, grandpa, and uncle holding a newborn baby brother in their arms. That didn’t discourage her.
Whatever makes her happy. :)

Hi Laura, what a wonderful way to celebrate Valentines’ Day with your children!
I was already a follower of your blog, but came across your post today by way of the Crowdtap conversation in which we both participated.
Happy Valentines’ Day!

Nice! Maybe her idea was just to remind him of how much HE should love Mommy, too. :)

Yeah, Justin loved his Valentine’s Day card from Kinley that said “I Love Mom”.

When he gets to be the right age, make sure to actually do the crafts. Mine are too old to be interested anymore. Youngest is 10.

That’s a cute idea. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to do crafts.
