Five Questions

Saturday, November 21, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

My Little Life

Mama M had some great questions yesterday for her Five Question Friday to ring in the holiday spirit. I know it’s Saturday already and I know I’ve already posted today….but I couldn’t help but join in.

1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?

Not at all. I think I have gone out once on Black Friday to get buy-one-get-one free boxes of legos at Toys-R-Us. Otherwise, I prefer to avoid the crowded shopping days.

2. What was your favorite childhood toy?

I was a Barbie girl all the way. I had quite the collection, including hand made clothes that my mom designed for my dolls.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?

Elf (for when I want to laugh) and Scrooge (the musical version of the Christmas Carol with Albert Finney….for when I want to cry. And sing. I love the music in that version!)

4. What is the “must have” item on your Christmas list this year?

A Christmas tree. I know that’s a really basic thing to have on the wish list, but there really isn’t much else that I want. Or can afford. But I would be really sad if we couldn’t put a Christmas tree up in our front room.

Now, if I could have anything this Christmas, I would ask for a new lens for my camera. One lens is broken, another is lost. The two that I have that are usable are not exactly what I need. One is cheap and the other is a great lens but it’s a 70-200mm and not ideal for a lot of situations.

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?

I am SO not an all-out decorator. And, unfortunately, I wouldn’t call myself a classy decorator, either. I go for the simple. This is what I’ve got, now how am I gonna make this work? Most years, I am really pleased with the way the house turns out. Until I got visit one of those all-ou or classy houses, that is…

Now how would YOU answer these questions?

(Can I just mention how excited I am that Christmas is just around the corner?? I need to feel that holiday cheer, let me tell you!)
