Flowers and Flames – Give Me Your Best Shot PSF

Thursday, April 22, 2010 by Lolli 28 Comments

If I could rip my new iTouch away from my husband and kids, I would have taken a picture of it today. But since it is currently occupied, I will share with you some alternate pictures from my week.

On Monday, we spent the evening with some friends who will be moving soon. We are sad to see them go, but had a wonderful time relaxing (and burning ourselves with hot chocolate). As the sun went down, I snapped a few pictures of these flowers (amid the teasing of my host, who thought it was funny that I was wearing two cameras. I told him that it was immensely easier to bring two cameras than to switch between lenses).

And after the sun set, I sat admiring the fire. Isn’t it cool looking? By the way, all of these pictures were edited using my new Lightroom presets, which I am still giving away. TWO people will win! Go enter before it’s over!

Flames

Did you guys hear the ultra cool news from I Heart Faces yesterday?

I am leading the Washington DC Photo Walk Across America group! Find out all of the details (and join me if you can!). Hurry, because in just one day we’ve nearly sold half of the spots!

Now it’s your turn. What did you do this week? For those of you who haven’t played along before, GMYBS is not a contest, and it’s for any level of photographer. It’s simply a fun way to show off the favorite picture (or favorites) that you’ve taken this week.  Read to find out more about Give Me Your Best Shot….And come back to leave the link to your best shot below (please link to your actual Give Me Your Best Shot post). And Grab my button(s) here and link to me so that we can get more people to stop by!

PS–happily linked to Cecily’s PhotoStory Friday, too!

What gorgeous flowers! How awesome that you are leading the photo walk. If I still lived in the area, I would totally want to be in your group. Maybe some of your expertise would rub off on me. :)
