Frozen {PSF Give Me Your Best Shot}

Thursday, February 6, 2014 by Lolli 10 Comments

Believe it or not, I am NOT talking about the Disney movie. Not this time.

Yesterday, we woke up to yet another day of school being cancelled due to the weather. Everything was covered in ice.

So, naturally, I went out in my pajamas and boots with my camera around my neck in an attempt to capture some of the beauty of the ice storm that hit us (hoping all the while that no branches would fall on my head…).

Capturing the perfect frozen shot proved to be pretty difficult, and in my pjs I didn’t last too long. It was still worth the trip outside!

    Your pictures are beautiful!! How awesome to live in an ice covered world. I’m so jealous. I’ve never experienced that before. The weather here has been sunny and warm, as it usually is year round.

    There is something magical about an ice covered world, isn’t there? I especially love that second shot!

    The ice was beautiful. I wished there were places I could have pulled off of the road to capture the glistening trees. I am just glad to have my electricity back.

    It really is so lovely, isn’t it? My parents still don’t have electricity, so I am pretty worried about all of the people without heat. Other than that though, I could look at our beautiful ice covered trees all day : ).

    Thanks, Shelly! I had to deleted most of the pictures…ice is HARD to capture crisp and clear. I just love the way everything looks covered in ice!

    Frozen is right. but wow such beautiful pictures! It’s been pretty cold here the last few days but for the most part we have had a pretty mild winter thus far.
