I’m working with Tilex® on a paid basis, but my opinions are my own.

I don’t remember ever having a problem with mold and mildew when I was growing up in California. I’m sure my memory is incorrect, though I DID clean my fair share of bathtubs and showers for my weekly chores. That’s what happens when you’re the oldest kid in the house.

I may not have memories of mold and mildew from my childhood home, but – Boy-oh-Boy! – when moved to Maryland shortly after I got married, mold and mildew became something I was all too familiar with.

No matter how often I clean the shower, it seems that mold and mildew STILL creep up on me. And with my main shower (that all 7 of us share!) tiled with white tiles and white grout, EVERY little spec of mold and mildew show up and stand out like a sore thumb.

When I picked up Tilex® Mold and Mildew Remover, I didn’t know what to expect. I guess I would say that I was initially skeptical about it’s ability to make a huge difference.

I was blown away by what it was able to do.

My favorite part of Tilex® Mold and Mildew – by far – is the no scrubbing aspect. No scrubbing (!?!).

Who wouldn’t LOVE to get rid of mold and mildew in the bathroom…with no scrubbing?

Here’s a quick before and after of one of the top corners of my shower:

Facts About Mold and Mildew:

Are you nervous about having friends see the mold in your bathroom? Do you close the shower curtains to hide the mess like I do? Think your home is unique in it’s mold and mildew problems? Guess what? 100% of homes in the U.S. have mold!

  • Mold shows up as as black stains in your grout or red stains on your shower curtain. As soon as you spot mold, it’s time to disinfect!
  • Mold regrows quickly if it isn’t killed! Soap and detergents may remove mold stains initially but they are not enough to kill mold.
  • Do you know why mold is so prevalent in bathrooms and basements? All mold needs to grow is a moist, room temperature environment and an organic food source to feed on. And it only takes 48 hours for mold to grow in the right conditions!

Did you know? Tilex® Mold and Mildew Remover contains Clorox® Bleach, and disinfects as it kills 99.9% of household mold and mildew on hard, nonporous surfaces. There is no scrubbing required – just spray it, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse.

Where do you have mold and mildew troubles? How do you banish mold and mildew in your house? Be sure to visit Tilex.com to learn more about Tilex®’s mold and mildew remover products!

Wow, looks great. I am embarrassed that my bathroom is not that white right now. I need to buy tilex.

I think the location you live in really plays an important part in fighting mold and mildew. In Florida it is something that occurs and I keep my eyes open for it when cleaning.

The bathroom is one of my least favorite places to clean so I’m all for anything that makes my life easier.
