How well do my kids know me?

Thursday, January 8, 2009 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Last night, KitKat asked me to write down 4 words to describe her. Then today, I read over at MamaKat’s that one of her writer’s workshop prompts for the day was this:

Ask a loved one to use 6 descriptive words to describe you and report your findings. How well do they know you?

So I thought it would be interesting to wait til the kids got home form school and ask them…Here are their answers:

KitKat said:
1) good cook
2) nice
3) not embarrassing around friends
4) fun (except when my camera’s out, she says!)
5) good personality
6) understanding

How did she do? I was pretty excited about #3…that’s good for a pre-teen to say about her mom, dontcha think? Thank goodness her friends don’t read my blog……

Necco said that I was:

1) friendly
2) a photoholic
3) helpful
4) fun
5) interesting
6) trustworthy

Cool! I love the fact that she thought of trust when describing me!

Twizzler, Reese, and AJ kind of worked together to make a list. Here’s their input:

1) Buy things for taking pictures
2) punisher
3) kind
4) likes to take pictures a lot
5) nice
6) good shopper

I love #2. Oh, yes. Mean Mommy. The one who hands out the punishment. Just so you know, Twizzler said both #2 and #3 back to back. I’m not too worried.

So did they get it right? Considering each child mentioned somthing about me taking pictures….I’d say yes!
