I Have an Announcement to Make….

shutterfly-announcement-celebration

Birth announcement from ShutterflyDid I catch your attention? No, I don’t have any birth announcements to send out (and I won’t have any coming up any time soon, either, so don’t ask).

I may still be in shock that I have a child old enough to be in high school, but luckily I’ve still got a few years before I have to send KitKat’s graduation announcements out. Phew.

I might have to invent an excuse to create an announcement card for something, because these cute baby announcements from Shutterfly have me drooling.

No, my announcement is not quite as exciting as a birth or a graduation. But my announcement does come with flowers and music, bright colors and happy smiles.

It’s Spring, and I couldn’t be happier about it. The trees in my neighborhood are covered in Spring blossoms (so is my carpet, but that’s another story…).

My 4th little one recently turned 8 and will be getting baptized soon – on the 22nd anniversary of her Daddy’s baptism. It’s a happy day.

My photography business is back in full swing, with new shoots being scheduled each week. And one of my favorite families to photograph just announced the coming of baby #2 which means maternity photos in June. Woot!

My oldest daughter got a job as a soccer referee (despite the fact that I have to drive her to games, I am thrilled that she’ll have some cash of her own).

As always, there are challenges, but Spring always helps me see the happy things – the blessings – the joys.

Sadly, her baptism had to be postponed because my husband was out of town when she turned 8, but I might “forgive” him if she can be baptized on his day. :)

Yay for photoshoots, working teenagers, baptisms and SPRING. Finally!

I shouldn’t say that too loud…around here I could jinx the weather into another blizzard. :)
