The Minions Are Back! Own Minions on DVD Today!

Tuesday, December 8, 2015 by Lolli 3 Comments

The Minions are BACK, and they are finally ready to invade your home. No, the adorable little yellow guys are not actually coming to your home, but Minions is available on BLU-RAY™ COMBO PACK, DVD AND ON DEMAND as of today! I received a review copy of Minions on DVD, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. Amazon affiliate links used.

Minions rule England

My whole family fell in love with the Minions when we were introduced to them in Despicable Me and when we saw them again in Despicable Me 2. As much as my kids adored the minions, though, I had a hard time imagining how a full-length movie dedicated solely to the minions would work…particularly since they don’t exactly speak English.

As much of a fan as I was before seeing Minions, I wasn’t sure if I’d love the movie.

Luckily, (and really, not all that surprisingly) the movie was a total success. Our family loved it. We’ve watched it several times already and I’m sure we’ll be watching it over and over again. It’s a great family movie that is equally entertaining for kids and parents alike.

Fans of the Despicable Me movies will certainly love Minions, but I think this new movie has stand-alone merit as well. Even newbies will enjoy this story.

About Minions

A much-anticipated prequel to the unprecedented worldwide blockbusters Despicable Me and the beloved sequel Despicable Me 2, Minions is an immensely entertaining film for all audiences called “inventive and hilarious” by Julian Roman, Movieweb.com. The Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and Digital HD also come with three all-new mini-movies and even more Minions everyone will want to watch again and again, especially during the busy holiday travel season.

Minions Scarlet Overkill

The story of the Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters — from T Rex to Napoleon — the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he — alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob — ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. The trio embark upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award®-winner Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in ‘mod’ London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind…from annihilation.

I love the Despicable me movies but I myself didn’t care for this movie. My grandson is a Minions fan and he enjoyed this movie so I will be buying this for him.
