Mushrooms, Eggs, and Sunny Days – PSF and GMYBS

Thursday, September 15, 2011 by Lolli 8 Comments

I’m not a huge mushroom fan. I’ll eat them without complaint but I don’t go out of my way to put them in my food.

However, I AM a huge fan of taking pictures of mushrooms. I can’t explain my weird fascination with photographing mushrooms, but every Fall I can’t help but hunt them down, pull out my macro lens, and crouch down in the grass to capture them.

Now, I like good old size large chicken eggs in a cardboard container WAY better than I like these eggs….but this dangling collection of sacs was too cool not to photograph. Just please keep THIS out of my kitchen…

And, finally, here are some pictures of our day at the park with some friends. After all of the rain we’ve been getting, the sunshine and warmth felt particularly wonderful.

Are you impressed that I took so many different pictures this week, unlike last week?

    Your photos are gorgeous!

I love mushrooms. I love them in my food and seeing them grown in my yard. We don’t get many mushrooms but as of late, they are popping up everywhere. I need to attempt taking some macro photos of them.

You would LOVE my yard! Out of nowhere, I have dozens of different varieties of mushrooms in our yard. Must be all the rain, but they are EVERYWHERE.

    LOVE your photos, as always.

Those clouds do look so welcoming. About time, right?

Hooray for days at the park. Now that it’s not so hot we are going to have to get to the park… before it gets too cold! I wish Fall could last forever!
