New Adventures

Monday, June 23, 2008 by Lolli Leave a Comment

Life is never boring around here, even on a slow day. I admit, I’ve had an inkling that this was coming for quite some time now, and when the Stake Presidency called to meet with both me and PB, I knew what it was about. But I still wasn’t prepared for the roller coaster of emotions that I have faced since PB’s new calling was extended on Friday….

Peanut Butter is the new counselor in the Bishopric. On the basic level, I am thrilled with the calling. As one good friend put it, “Congratulations. Or at least congratulations for having a husband worthy to serve in this position.” (or something like that) I agree. I am thrilled for this opportunity for PB to serve and exercise his great leadership skills. The meetings don’t bother me. I’m used to him being busy.

But….

I am scared to death about being the Primary President at the same time. Sunday wipes me out, dealing with kids and issues that always pop up at the last minute (not to mention the day to day stresses of running an organization as big as this). Wish us luck. It’s all good. I’m really not worried about how it’s going to turn out. I’m just stressed right now.

And, here’s the Man who does it all, on Father’s Day, showing off his latest trick. He figured out a way to hold all 5 kids at the same time. Unfortunately, Apple was asleep at the time of this picture, so PB’s only holding 4 of the kids. He’s a good guy. I love him.
