As we prepare to load up the car and drive across the country to take my oldest daughter to college next week, we just HAD to make one last trip to Castle Park (our nickname for it, at least). Castle Park holds so many memories for us – it was a favorite of the kids when they were little, and even though they’re bigger now, they still have tons of fun there.
It was a lot MORE fun for me, not having to stress about where the kids were every second we were there. Big parks may be a dream for the kids, but they can be a nightmare for the moms!
Can you tell how much fun we had together on Monday?
PS – all of these photos were taken with my handy new Samsung camera that I’m giving away right here…
What have you been up to this week? Surviving the heat and the craziness of summer? Be sure to link up your posts below!
And then wish me luck on the last few days before we head on this massive road trip!

My family visited from Texas so we have been having a great time, visiting the parks, lake, and downtown area. Great weather so far here in Michigan.

It looks like your family had a lot of fun. I agree a smaller park is easier for parents.

One bitter sweet last trip til your child heads off to college… We have had a couple of those. I actually see my kids more now than when they lived at home…

I love these pictures and you will be able to treasure them forever. Good luck to your daughter as she begins this new chapter in her life. I hope you have a safe trip. I will be thinking of you as I know this will be bittersweet. It is a reminder to me (my kids are littles) to cherish these moments and let the dishes sit, the laundry wait, because before I know it……

What a fun outing before your trip cross country, esp since it is because your daughter is off to college. I’m sure she’ll be coming home for holidays and breaks but you will treasure these pics of this outing, it gets harder to get pictures of all the kids when they start moving, growing up etc.
