Parents’ Day

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 by Lolli 5 Comments

Our “lazy days of Summer” are not so lazy. They’re busy; filled to capacity with fun.

Last Friday was the Summer’s first Parents’ Day at Summer Camp. The kids love showing off their projects, their dances, and their favorite people.

AJ is absolutely in love with his counselor and talks about him constantly at home. In fact, I think I have been called “Taylor” more than once this Summer.

Necco loves to dance (she’s the one sticking her hands out wide in the middle). The teen girls group is the perfect place for her.

Honestly, I was shocked that AJ got up on the stage for the kindergarten boys’ dance. I was curious to see what they would come up with…..and not surprised at all when they did “boom, boom, clap” for 3 minutes to “We Will Rock You.” Ahhhh….so that’s why AJ kept saying “boom, boom, clap” all over the house last week.

Reese is the Belle of camp (she’s the one in the front with army green shorts). Everyone loves her, and she loves everyone. But it seems that she would rather stay home, sleep in, and be lazy all day instead of running around with friends, playing games, doing arts and crafts, and swimming all day. Hmm.

Psst….one of my best blogging friends, Jill from Scary Mommy, is guest posting Wordful Wednesday at Angie’s place this week. Guess who’s going to be guest posting next week??

I love that your kids go to summer camp. My kids go to “camp grandma” and love it.
