Pictures Worth a Thousand Words

Thursday, March 18, 2010 by Lolli 13 Comments

AJ was sound asleep this afternoon when the kids came home from school. I wasn’t about to wake him from his nap just to spend some time outside.

Just like kids seem to have radar-hearing in my house when a movie starts playing in the basement, AJ in his deep sleep must have heard the word “park.”

He woke up, jumped out of bed in one fluid movement, and got ready to go outside faster than he’s ever gotten ready before.

Why is it that he can never move that fast for me, when we’re making a trip to Target?

A Picture worth a thousand words

It’s rare that I catch a face so silly, so fun, that it makes me chuckle every time I glance at it. This picture is not losing it’s humor for me.

Let me scroll up and peek again.

Yep, still makes me laugh.

On a more serious note, AJ was very conscientious about getting his pants dirty while playing in the dirt (at least it’s dirt now and not mud)….so he rolled his pants up. Isn’t he thoughtful?

I can never post just one

Spring changes everything doesn’t it?

It feels like it has been years since we had afternoons as enjoyable as we’ve been having this week. Not only are the plants – the trees, the flowers, the grasses – growing again, WE are coming alive again.

Daredevil in the tree

Am I a bad mother for letting him do this?

Life. Joy. Activity. Growth.

These pictures speak volumes to me.

And I can’t wait to catch more of them tomorrow.

Cheaper Than Therapy

I love your pictures of your sweet boys SO much. Why can’t they get ready for Target that quickly? I wonder that same thing often : ) It is getting dark now and the boys are still outside playing. Playing just as happily as they can : ) I love Spring!

Spring really does make you feel like a whole new person and family doesn’t it. We’ve been spending every possible second outside too. We just can’t get enough.

    Great photos!
