SOOC – Give Me Your Best Shot PSF

Thursday, March 18, 2010 by Lolli 25 Comments

SOOC= Straight Out Of Camera

This week, I caught a shot that I fell in love with immediately.

And after wards I did something that I rarely ever do.

I didn’t do ANYTHING.

No editing. No cropping. No color or exposure adjustment.

What you see is what you get. And I love it.

SOOC bike ride

Yes, I’m one of those mothers who lets her kid ride a bike without a helmet.

Give me your best shot at Better in Bulk

Now it’s your turn. What did you do this week? For those of you who haven’t played along before, GMYBS is not a contest, and it’s for any level of photographer. It’s simply a fun way to show off the favorite picture (or favorites) that you’ve taken this week.  Read to find out more about Give Me Your Best Shot….And come back to leave the link to your best shot below (please link to your actual Give Me Your Best Shot post). And Grab my button(s) here and link to me so that we can get more people to stop by!

PS–I have repeatedly had problems with people not being able to grab my buttons on WordPress, so I apologize for sending you to my Blogger page to grab them. Hopefully this will fix the problem, though!

PPS–Even though Cecily and I aren’t officially teaming up again this week, I still enjoy linking up and sharing the love with fellow PhotoStory Friday participants!

I think sometimes right off the camera shots are great. I think it has to do with being lazy. That is a great shot.

This week has been filled to the brim with doctors appointments and more. Not a lot of time for the fun and enjoyable, I’m afraid. That said, most of my pictures are craft/product related and here’s my favorite this week…

That’s unedited other than a crop. I was so surprised with how well it turned out!

You caught such a great shot. I’m glad you didn’t edit it and capture it so well.

Spring has definitely sprung by you.

    What a GREAT SOOC shot!

I almost never leave pictures alone. I should try it more often. If I can pry my hands away from PS…editing has become an odd little addiction for me. Do you think there’s a group for that?

Great shot. I am that mom too! I think helmets are ridiculous. Of course when my kid has a brain injury I won’t feel that way (evil laughter). Speaking of which I need to get my son a new bike he outgrew his! My to do list keeps getting longer and longer!

I also let my kids ride bike around the neighborhood without helmet. in fact, I would never let them ride out of the block. so they don’t need helmets :D

most of my photos I put on my blog are free from digital editing. I just do crop and resize. I love them that way.

ps I will be back to play along after the boys’ heads are shaved for St baldricks :)

SOOC is great- always good to be edit free. (PS the button worked great from your old blogspot.

And here I thought SOOC meant Straight Outta Compton. How little I know.

This picture is really amazing, my friend. I loved how you were able to capture her “in the moment.” I should really start using that camera of mine more!
