San Francisco, in Pictures

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 by Lolli 49 Comments

When I received an email at the end of November asking if I wanted to attend a Girls Photography Getaway in San Francisco with Adobe, my only hesitation was convincing myself that it was real. Of course I’d love to attend! A trip back home to California. A hotel stay. Learning from the people who make my all-time favorite photo editing software. Meeting fellow bloggers who share my passion for photography. I told CandyMan at dinner and he quickly encouraged me to go.

I left home last Wednesday, suitcase, camera, and laptop in hand, and flew to California. I had no idea who would be sharing this Adobe getaway with me. I didn’t even know how big the group would be. I was thrilled when I got on twitter after my long, tiring flight and discovered who else was coming.

Ariana from Becoming Mom
Lindsey from Café Johnsonia
Lotus from i am lotus
Gayle from Mom and Camera
Drew from Mom*tog
Donna (ie, Miz Booshay) from Quiet Life
Erika from The Ivory Hut
Arena from The Nerd’s Wife

What a fantastic group! Not only did I love shooting, gabbing, laughing, and eating with these women, but I have been so inspired as I have looked through their photos from the trip. Here are a few more of mine. You can see a few others on my two previous posts about San Francisco.

And there are 400 more where those came from…

Disclosure: I did receive an all-expense paid trip to San Francisco to hang with and learn from Adobe Lightroom. I was thrilled and honored to take part in such a wonderful group.

That photo of Cari’s reaction to the photo was one of my favorite people shots. Strangely, I didn’t take a lot of portraits. I was more intrigued by the birds last week. LOL! Oh, and I totally agree that it was an awesome group!

I grew up in the Bay Area, so it was kind of like going home, although we rarely made it to the city. It’s funny that there were a few locations I’d never been to before!
