Slip N Slide (Trying to Stay Cool!) – PSF Linky

Thursday, June 9, 2011 by Lolli 18 Comments

We’ve had record heat these past few weeks, and although the kids are still in school for another week, it definitely FEELS LIKE SUMMER. We have been running the AC non-stop and blowing fans in every room. And when that doesn’t work, we turn on the water and play in the back yard.

Anything to beat the heat!

The kids only have 5 days of school left. While the rest of the country seems to have gotten out of school long ago, we’re still going strong. Well, we’re going at least…..

KitKat is starting her last round of finals in the morning and will soon be done with the 9th grade. Reese came home sick today (of all things, she has a fever. She’s hotter than the weather is!). AJ is enjoying the last week of kindergarten. Thursday was Kindergarten Olympics, Friday is Board Game Day, Monday is Movie and Popcorn Day…..basically they’re trying hard to fit all those last important lessons in….

How have you been keeping cool this month (or are you luckier than we have been??)?

Oh how fun! I think I would join right in, if it wasn’t for this baby belly. ;-)

I need to do a GMYBS post soon. It’s been way too long!

Boy, that looks fun! We have a week left of school, too. But we are having a usual June Gloom – cold and overcast. So much for sunny Southern California! I hope Reese doesn’t have what went around over here, it was YUCKY! High fever for several days, no energy and for some people it morphed into coughs or pneumonia. My entire family got it but only my husband got the pneumonia part. Happy Summer!

We’ve had warm days the last week and I bought Jonathan a small pool that even I can fit into it. And I went in there, I don’t care how dumb I looked. Great shots! Love those water shots!

I love the water in the photos…you really captured it!

I teach third grade and we finally finished yesterday. Let me say those end of the year “important lessons” have worn me out! ; )

LOVING the color in your shots and I love your collages…they tell such happy stories.

We’ve had a few days of heat, but nothing over 80ish. Which is weird (yesterday Jon got a few flakes of snow where he was working!!). The few watery things we’ve tried so far have ended in blue lips.
