My BFF is teaching horse back riding lessons at a local farm, and her kids were in a horse show this weekend. I took my two youngest kids to watch the horses and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and country surroundings. It was a nearly perfect day (don’t get me started on AJ’s incessant whining for food).
The horses confirmed my preference for non-human photo subjects. They are so much easier to deal with!

I love the photo of the boots, I would love a print like that.
Found you via Crissy, so happy to have done so! Wordless weds is having me discover such gems. These are gorgeous photos. Makes me miss my days growing up in the country. My mom raised Paints and I can still remember the smell of the dirt and hay.
So beautiful! It’s been too long since I have been around horses!
I concur. Non-humans are so much easier to photograph. Great pictures!
I love the shaggy pony! Thanks for sharing these great pictures, and for having the linky!
I understand. And I know you’d do the same for me or anyone else. I just wish I was closer and could do more. Hugs!
Aw, these pics remind me of my childhood!
These pictures are stunningly beautiful! Seriously.
Great photos! I love prefer non-human subjects as well. lol. Too bad I don’t have any horses around.
wow. These are fantastic photos! I too love photographing animals… they just sit still so much nicer :)
Great shots, Lolli! And you’re so right about animals being better subjects than people at times. lol
Thanks so much for stopping by. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your friendship, support and sweet comment. :)
These pictures are beautiful! I love the little furry horse – so cute! Would you believe I’ve never ridden a horse? Shame on me!
