The hamburger is about as all-American as you can get where food is concerned…and I LOVE a good burger. When I was younger, a simple squeeze of ketchup and mustard was sufficient, but as I’ve gotten older, my taste for burgers has gotten a little more….refined.
When I grill up burgers at home, I never stop with the basic condiments. Since everyone in the family likes their burger a little differently, I load the table with cheese, ketchup, yellow mustard AND spicy chipotle mustard, mayo and Ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato, avocado slices, banana peppers, grilled onions, and sautéed mushrooms.
The younger kids might stick with the basics, but I like to pile everything on!
