What the Best Mother’s Day Looks Like

Tuesday, May 10, 2011 by Lolli 42 Comments

This is how Mother’s Day (actually the night before) started for me. It couldn’t have been better. Clean car, breakfast in bed, new yarn, and a day of relaxation. Perfection.

PS – I totally shocked my car-cleaning kids when I gave permission for AJ to climb on the top of the van to clean up there. As Necco said, “Mom, you must be in a really good mood tonight!”

I think we may have started a Mother’s Day tradition this year. Good idea, don’t you think?

What a great Mother’s Day gift indeed. One day my litle guys will be big enough to do that for me, and they’re right, you must have been in a good mood to let them climb up on the van. Awesome pics to remember the moment.

I’m jealous! lol Mine are too young to do that on their own yet. But then, hubby could have taken them outside to do that for me. But then, I just won’t go there. lol

Your kids are really cute. Love the last pic.

You are a BRAVE Mama!! I don’t let my kids wash the ‘Sweet Ride’ mini-van. They always try to use scrub brushes and stuff… Like I don’t do a good enough job of scratching it up~ I certainly don’t need their help!! :)

Awesome tradition! I actually asked for my car to be washed as my Mother’s Day gift. Did it happen? No. But I did get some chocolate, tulips, and my hubby made breakfast, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and dinner. I guess I really can’t complain – can I? haha :)
