@WhyMommy Love Fest – Wordless Wednesday

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 by Lolli 20 Comments

Today I am rallying with my fellow local moms as well as thousands of women around the world who have been touched by one person fighting cancer.

Susan

Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can’t carry
I’m right up the road
I’ll share your load
If you just call me

Our mutual friend, Amy (sitting at my right in this picture) has started what she’s calling the @WhyMommy Love Fest and I knew I had to join in.

The photo of the three of us is from Homeher 2011, the night of the Bloggess’ Red Dress, from Amy’s ie- TeachMama’s flickr stream.

You can see the first part of the WhyMommy Love Fest video on Teachmama and follow the journey on the Whymommy Love Fest Facebook page.

For more inspiring photos, check: 5 Minutes for Mom, High Impact Mom, The Bonafide Life, Shanamama, From Dates to Diapers, Not Your Mom Blog, The Divine Miss Mommy, Colorado Moms, Rajean Blomquist and Zensible Mama and link your own photo stories.

Linked up to Wordful Wednesday, Wordish Wednesday, and Wordless Wednesdays all over.

It’s so heartwarming to see people/bloggers rallying together to support each other and issues that effect so many women, families, loved ones, etc. Thank you for supporting the cause and for informing us about it.

I love Susan! I discovered her shortly after I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I was so scared of what would happen to my baby. Susan showed me that you can raise happy children while battling breast cancer. My heart is with Susan and her family right now.

I so hate cancer right now.
    Completely and utterly hate it.

We’re coming up on the 3rd anniversary of Tuesday’s death, my friend’s daughter and father are both fighting cancer and it’s just… everywhere and it sucks.

SO wonderful that so many people are coming together for your friend. It will help her more than she knows.

Saying prayers for her and saying thanks for lovely people in this world that care enough to do something to help.
