DIY Wood Gift Tags and Ornaments

Monday, December 8, 2014 by Lolli 6 Comments

My friend, Lisa (ie, my resident crafting genius), sent me a new Christmas craft project that I am loving SO MUCH. I was not familiar with wood burners for crafting use outside of boy scouts before Lisa told me about the wooden gift tags she made this year. Now I’m itching to add a wood burning tool to my Christmas wish-list so I can make some of these, too.

How cute are these wood gift tags?

How to make reusable wood gift tags

Here is all you need to make these adorable gift tags:

Here is the pattern to print off (just click the image below to download the PDF).

Tada!

If you’ve never worked with a wood-burning tool, check out how easy it is in this video from Lowe’s:

Lisa and her daughter made a short video of how to transfer the design onto the wood, too!

These wood gift tags can be added to a gift box or bag (like the fabric bags I made for gifts this year) and then added to the Christmas tree or re-used to gifts next year.
