(I was forwarded this Christmas story, along with 24 others for every day in December leading up to Christmas. I apologize that I don’t have an author’s name. Enjoy the story, and have a wonderful Christmas week!) A Different Kind of Christmas Martha had tried to ignore the approach of Christmas. She would have kept…
Archives for December 2008
It took me almost 14 years…..
…but something finally sunk in! I was making peanut butter candy bar cookies (recipe coming soon!) when CandyMan brought his lunch plate to the sink and said to me, “Well, hunnie, mark December 20, 2008 on your calendar. I want you to know that because of you, I didn’t lick my plate. It’s a crime…
A day at the temple (…exhausted me!)
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the uplifting, relaxing, rejuvinating kind of day at the temple..but it was wonderful in it’s own way. :) First, I spent three hours freezing my fingers off as I took a “few” wedding pictures for this adorable couple in our stake. It rained until we were completely done (or so we thought)….

Yipee! It’s official. I’m a new contributor over at Modern Molly Mormon. I’ve been asked to write some general photography tips and such. I’m nervous and excited. Go check out my welcome/About me post over there. It’s a fun place!
My heros

One of my favorite Christmas memories as a kid and now that I have my own children is making caramel. Each year it gets a little easier for me as the kids get a little more capable and helpful. I was shocked at how much AJ was able to wrap! The other kids are pros…
Spotlight on Necco
Every once in a while it’s fun to spotlight one of the kids. Today the spotlight is on Necco. During the last year or so, she has really blossomed, and we have become so close. I am proud to say that she has shown an interest in a lot of the things that I love….
Nicknames (…..I mean headaches)
You know, sometimes it’s annoying that everyone at my house is big enough to have an OPINION. I apologize for what I’m about to do…..but I DID give you warning. Yes, it’s time to update the nicknames again. I am really going to try hard to keep these for a LONG time. So here we…
