Are You the Next Mamavation Mom?

Monday, December 27, 2010 by Lolli 1 Comment

The New Year is right around the corner, and with the new year comes New Years Resolutions. I have never been a huge fan of once-a-year resolutions, and prefer instead to work on goals throughout the year. However, this year in particular, I’ve been noticing my reflection in the mirror….and I am determined more than ever to do something about the view. I’ve always been small, and have never had a problem with my weight, but the years (I’m getting closer to 40!) and the lack of money for a gym membership are catching up to me. It’s time I made some changes.

MamavationI know I’m not alone in the desire to get back into shape. And that’s why I’m helping Leah, aka Bookieboo, let everyone know about the search for the new Mamavation moms.

Mamavation Moms lose weight in a boot camp experience without having to leave the home. They are set up with free fitness equipment, a solid support group, and professional resources to do so. As they are learning healthy living and losing weight they live their lives on a stage for seven weeks. The campaign becomes a virtual docudrama with real challenges and victories as they become the stars of the campaign. To become a Mamavation Mom, an application needs to be complete, then 5 women are selected as finalists. Those finalists go up for a public vote and the two winners are announced during the Twitter Launch Party on January 17th.

Bookieboo and the Mamavation campaign are also getting ready to feature a mother from the greater Los Angeles area in a weight loss webisode. This mother will go through a virtual seven week weight loss boot camp and have her entire life chronicled and recorded. Most of the exercising will be done inside the home, but some workouts will be done in special gyms in the greater Los Angeles area. She will also receive several thousands of dollars worth of products and services. In the end, the star of this webisode will have a viral video to watch about her journey and a solid foundation of healthy living. Know a mom in the LA area who would be a great candidate? Or maybe that mom is you? Check out the guidelines and application on Mamavation.com.

Are you ready to make a difference in your life? I’m ready.

Disclosure: I have been compensated for helping spread the word about the search for the new Mamavation Moms. However, the weight and the desire to lose it are my own.
