Tonight was the biggest night of the year for Twizzler’s Cub Scout den, and probably his biggest achievement ever. Tonight Twizzler “crossed over” from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and received the very special Arrow of Light award.
It was a fun night full of awards, enchiladas, and fancy desserts that the boys each made (this year’s theme was “arts and crafts”). Twizzler’s treat is the Statue of Liberty made out of colored rice crispie treats. My favorite? The KitKat and M&M cake. Yum!

In other news, Twizzler’s voice is starting to change. All of the sudden it has dropped an octave and I hardly recognize it. Is it really time for that already??

Awesome party! I can’t work that hard on a party anymore. Or ever. I’m so tired.
Don’t you just love “Boy Food”! Your post brought back some fond memories of Scouts. Thanks for hosting a wordless wednesday.
Wow, those Cub Scouts would give the Girl Scouts a run for their cookie-selling money if they ever choose to have bake sales! I agree with your choice of cake, although his Statue of Liberty crispy treat is a contender! Love his freckles & face paint. Sweet memory. You realize you’ll be showing his future wife those pictures, right?
Looks like he had fun and love the face paint!
The cub scouts/boy scouts do the coolest stuff! Love his headdress and freckles. Too cute!
How fun!!
The desserts look great. Your boy is very handsome.
He looks so serious in the last photo.
I love all the great treats! They all look delicious and great decorating work too. Congrats to Twizzler!
Congrats TWizzler!!! Wow, he is growing up…a lot…voice change already? I adore my baby boy’s “I wuv you mommy.” Just the other day he started to call me “mom.” What? At 3? No yet!!
Those cakes turned out awesome, especially being made by kids. So creative and fun. I bet they loved it.
They just grow up so fast don’t they?! Congratulations to your boy!!! :)
xo
I can’t wait until my boys are old enough for the Cub Scouts!
How fun for your boy!
I have never been to a blue and gold banquet, but I am sure that there are some of them in my future, since I have two future scouts myself!
